Jessie Rocha

Jessie Rocha (Pitching)

Jessie played one season for the Western CT State University but hang up her spikes to devote more time to her studies. But she remained in the sport teaching at FPN and in High School. Jessie is the Asst. Coach and Pitching Coach for the East Catholic High School softball team and has been a pitching consultant/instructor to Bay Path University softball team. She has been teaching at FPN for the last 6 seasons and is a 3 time all-conference pitcher at Northwest Catholic High School. She also pitched for the CT Mirage and CT Mirage Gold Travel teams for 8 years. Jessie is a Surgical Technologist at UCONN Hospital in Farmington.


Courtney Oliva

Courtney graduated cum laude from Assumption College in Spring 2017 with degrees in biology and middle/secondary education.  She is pursuing her Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at UConn.  A four-year starter at Assumption, she was named to the Assumption College Student-Athlete Honor Roll twice and earned Assumption College Student-Athlete Director's Citation in 2015.  She was named a member of the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll four times.  Before Assumption College, Courtney played for the CT Bombers, Central Mass Rapids Gold, and CT Green Devils, and she has continued her pitching career for NWS Elite.


Shalise Tolentino

Shalise Tolentino enters her second year as an assistant softball coach for the Div. II, University of Bridgeport Purple Knights. A 2005 graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland where was a starter as a third baseman and team captain her senior year. Shalise earned several hitting accolades as a Mountaineer. She is the current single-season record holder for triples, is second in career triples, and is the current freshman class record holder in triples and 8th in doubles. Upon graduating from the Mount with a BS in Psychology Shalise played for the Puerto Rican National Softball Team before moving to Connecticut to attend graduate school at Southern CT State University where she studied Sports Psychology. Her coaching experience include a 3 year stint at Green Farms Academy in Westport, Conn. where she helped lead the Dragons to their first 1st place finish and runner up in the league tournament (2006) in 10 years.


Annilise LaRosa

Annilise is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University. She has a Psychology degree with a concentration in substance abuse and addiction. She was a catcher and DH for one season at Division III King’s College while she was pursuing a degree in Athletic Training, but then decided to transfer schools and choose a different degree path that involved giving up college softball. She was a Varsity Catcher and 3B all four years of high school, as well as catching for the CT Titans travel team for 6 years. She was All State her junior and senior years in high school. Currently she is pursuing a career at the UConn Health Center while giving back to the sport through coaching. Her specialties are catching and hitting instructions. She has coached with the CT Titans for the past 5 years and is currently the manager of the 18U Green team.


Melissa Perez

Melissa started her college career at the University of Rhode Island studying Elementary Education. She was the freshman starting second basemen, playing in the DI Atlantic 10 Conference. Melissa contributed to landing her team in the A10 Conference Tournament in 2010. She then continued her college education and softball career at Dowling College (Long Island, NY) and graduated with a bachelors degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. As a three- year starter, Melissa lead Dowling College to three appearances to the ECC DII Conference Tournament and two appearance to DII Regionals. She also helped her team rank No. 7 in the country in 2011. Melissa has been giving hitting and fielding instruction for the past six years. She is currently pursuing her career as a Special Education Teacher as well as coaching at New Britain High School.


Jennifer Duell

Jennifer graduated with honors from Siena College in 2012 where she earned a degree in Biology. For the Saints, Jen was a catcher/ utility player batting .355 in her senior season. A three time member of the MAAC All-Academic team, Jen continued her education at the University of New Haven for her master’s degree in Secondary Education. She is now a science teacher teacher at Maloney High School and the Softball Head Coach at Platt High School, both in Meriden. 


Davina Hernandez

Davina Hernandez (Fielding, Hitting)

2014 CT High School Coach of the Year,  and 3-time LL State Champion Head Coach of Southington High School. She graduated with honors from UMASS-Amherst where she played 4 years for a Division I top 25 team under the legendary Elaine Sortino and was a Division-1 Academic All American. She went on to receive her Master’s and 6th year Degrees in Speech Pathology at UCONN. She won four A-10 Championships and played in the D-I Super Regionals (“Sweet 16”). She earned a spot on the Puerto Rican National Team, which she played on for 5 seasons. She played against and connected with fellow players such as Jenni Finch, Natasha Watley, and Jessica Mendoza. Davina competed in the Pan American Games, 2008 Beijing Olympic Trials (losing in the championship game to Venezuela who secured the 8th spot), and various international invitational tournaments throughout the world. She’s been a hitting/fielding instructor for the past 10 years. Hernandez is also the head coach for the 18U CT Lady Knights.


Jeff Vincent

Jeff Vincent (Fielding, Hitting, Baseball Pitching)

Jeff is a graduate of Division I Niagara University where he was a 4 year starting outfielder and received a degree in History. His senior year he hit .361 with 19 doubles, 5 triples, 7 home runs, and a record 33 stolen bases. In 2006 he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 43rd round of the MLB June amateur draft. He played one season in the New York Penn League for the Lowell Spinners. From 2007-2012 in played in the Independent Professional Baseball circuit for 6 different teams throughout the country. His career professional stats were a .268 batting average, 25 triples, 68 doubles, 19 home runs, and 100 stolen bases. He also had 8.1 professional innings pitched. In 2012 he was the graduated baseball assistant at LeMoyne College for the 2012 Northeast-10 Conference Champions. Jeff will teach baseball hitting, fielding and pitching as well as softball hitting. 


Tom Nicholson

Tom is a Former 4- year Division I pitcher at Sienna College. Coach Tom has taught and layed at all levels of the game.  Coach Tom encourages the mental aspects of pitching along side the physical demands associated with this exciting position. Your pitcher will develop an understanding of the many aspects required in an encouraging environment so he grows as a player and fan of this grand game. Come have your son or team see what this lefty has been preaching all around the country.


Mike Almeida

Mike has been umpire-in-chief at FPN since we opened in 2008. He is one of the most respected and senior umpires in the state. Mike has umpired at every level (NCAA, High School and Travel) and has traveled the country for major tournaments and the NCAA tournament and regularly does the CT High School tournament Finals and Semi-Finals. He is the USSSA CT State Umpire-in-Chief Emeritus. Mike is considered by his peers one of the top and most professional umpires in the game.
