USA Elite Select Tournaments

USA Elite Select is the “Elite Division” of USSSA

It is part the mission of USA Elite Select to create opportunities for elite fastpitch players to showcase their skills in competitive settings and Fastpitch Nation Park has been selected as the first and only location in New England to offer USA Elite Select Tournaments. 

USA Elite Select offers several types of events:

FPN Park is offering 2 events during the Spring/Summer of 2019

  • May 25-27 - Rob Crews’ Complete Game USA Elite Select Qualifier 
    • 14U, 12U and 10U winners qualify for the World Fastpitch Championships.
    • Top 13U, 11U and 9U teams in the 14U, 12U and 10U divisions qualify for the Futures World Fastpitch Championships.
    • Format is 5 game guarantee, 3 pool and double elimination.
  • June 21-23 - Rob Crews’ Complete Game USA Elite Select Summer Tune-up Invitational. 

    • This event made for the elite teams just prior to heading to Colorado for the top summer showcases in softball or wherever the best teams choose to compete.
    • 18U and 16U divisions of 12 teams in each.
    • Format is 5 game guarantee, 3 pool and double elimination.

FPN Park is partnering with one of the biggest names in fastpitch softball, Rob Crews.

  • Rob is regarded at one of the very top hitting gurus in the country today. He regularly works with some of the top travel and college programs in the country.
  • Rob is the Owner of Complete Game in NY. Rob specializes in hitting with and the elite level skill set and player development systems with a special emphasis on proven research, re-evaluation and player-specific training in mental and visual skills. See Bio below
  • Rob will be in attendance for each of these elite events to meet and help evaluate players. Rob will showcasing some of the hi-tech tools he uses every day including the technology of Diamond Kinetics including Swing Tracker. This technology gathers data such as Time to Contact, Max Barrel Speed, Max Acceleration, Extension, and more.
  • Rob will also be using Sports Vision EyeQ by Right Eye. This technology is a non-invasive, objective test that quickly and easily measures and analyzes eye movement, brain processing and reaction time, and compares vision to peers, amateurs and pro athletes. The results are delivered in a graphical, easy-to-read Sports Vision EyeQ report.
  • Players will be able to try these technology and even in game situations. 

          


Rob Crews Bio

Rob Crews is the founder and CEO of Complete Game, Player Development Company based in White Plains, New York. Complete Game evaluates and develops any athlete, regardless of sport, level or gender, across every facet of life, in preparation for success in the short and long term. OPTOGAZE™ is the visual acuity & assessment division of Complete Game. The OPTOGAZE™ system tracks the speed and accuracy of brain activity, eye movement, body, bat, and ball. We interpret how they affect one another, consult athletes on the data and create custom training programs in a lab environment.  Rob Crews has consulted softball programs such as UCLA, Stanford, Florida, LSU, Central Florida, Maryland and Fordham to name a few. In 2010, Rob served as assistant coach for the USSSA PRIDE, the (NPF) National Pro Fastpitch champs. He has also consulted in the area of player development for San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners as well as Team Venezuela softball.  

Rob is the author of the books, COMPLETE GAME and SWAG 101, mental skills publications for improving in-game focus and confidence. Rob Crews is currently providing support for athletes of all ages, skill levels and genders, including teams and leagues. Rob has also consulted player development and exposure platforms for USSSA and Faster2First.  Rob Crews has been a speaker at the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Convention and the World Softball Convention. Current and past companies Rob has consulted in the areas of business development and brand strategy are USSSA, SKLZ, Nokona, Sports195, and Swinguru, SCOUTZ USA, Diamond Kinetics, and AXIS BATS. Rob recently consulted Scrap Yard Dawgs and Team USA softball players with the OPTOGAZE™ hitting lab.
